Air filtration is one of the most important things you can do for your HVAC System. Proper air filtration will keep the inside of the air handler clean, without restricting too much air flow, as well as improve the indoor air quality in your home.

Have you ever experienced one area of the home that is always colder or hotter than the rest of the home?  If so, the most likely cause is an incorrectly designed, installed and balanced air duct system.

Studies have shown that in almost 60% of homes where the HVAC system has been changed, the existing duct system is not capable of handling the air flow being supplied by the new system.

In the past homeowners have just tried to adjust the lever on the grill in the ceiling to limit the amount of air flow in one room, with hopes of gaining air flow in another.  This procedure usually just makes matters worse. The only way to truly balance your air flow is with dampers installed inside the duct system at strategic locations.  This balancing process is done with at least two men, one in the attic adjusting the damper and one at the grill with an anemometer to gauge the amount of air flow coming out of the grill.
